Tristan let out a sigh. He was scared, nervous. He didn’t know how to do this. He knew he was different. But different was always good, right? He ran his fingers in his short hair, looking at the mirror. “I’m gay. I like guys.” A sigh escaped his lips, as he said down on his bed still not sure how to tell him. He didn’t know how to tell his parents either, his friends, anyone.
Tristan put his head in his hands and laid back on his bed. He let out another sigh before sitting up. He sighed as he walked out of his room, and knocked on Owen’s door before coming into his room. “Can I talk to you for a second?” Tristan asked, and Owen nodded turning his desk chair around, watching his brother sit down on his bed.
Tristan let out a sigh looking at his brother. “You know, we fight a lot but in the end we are still brothers, and I’ll always love you.” Tristan’s eyes looked up to his older brother before continuing. “I think…that you might already know what I’m going to say, before I say it.” He said, as he stayed very soft spoken. “I’m..gay” Tristan finally said after a moment of thinking. “I like guys.” He said looking at him. He was hoping that his brother wouldn’t hate him for the rest of his life, or just laugh it off and say that he was just joking.Tristan waited to see what Owen would say, scared at the reaction he was going to get from Owen.
